Tonga Leitis Association was proud to participate in the Quantification Workshop held from July 7th to 10th, 2025.

This important workshop focused on strengthening understanding of the quantification process, including forecasting and supply planning, and how these elements help ensure reliable access to contraceptive commodities. Participants engaged in hands-on sessions to develop a three-year forecast and a two-year supply plan for all contraceptive products currently used in Vanuatu.

Key outcomes of the workshop included:

Establishing a national core group for quantification to serve as the lead technical team for future forecasting and planning efforts.

Identifying program activities that will affect contraceptive consumption in the coming years.

Evaluating the quality of available data sources and adjusting them using various forecasting methods.

Documenting key forecasting assumptions and estimating total commodity and funding requirements.

Developing clear roles for each team member and setting plans for regular reviews and updates.

It was a meaningful opportunity for TLA to learn, collaborate, and contribute to regional efforts around sexual and reproductive health commodity security. Malo ‘aupito to the organizers and partners for including us in this important initiative
