Tonga Leitis Association Executive Director, Joey Mataele, proudly participated in the Multi-Stakeholder Workshop held on 16th July 2025 at the Faonelua Convention Centre.

The workshop focused on strengthening partnerships and understanding around the Australia Assists Program, while also addressing key Disaster Risk Management (DRM) challenges. Through collaborative sessions, participants explored system gaps, community impacts, and set priorities for improving preparedness and response.

The final sessions looked ahead to envisioning 3-year outcomes aligned with Tonga’s DRM policy, defining roles for both government and partners, and reaffirming the commitment to working together for a more resilient Tonga.
